Important Update: 0% Interest Stream Closing April 30, 2026

In alignment with available federal funding, the 0% interest rate stream of the Better Homes Ottawa Loan Program will be closing as of April 30, 2026.

Homeowners wishing to take advantage of the 0% interest option must enroll in the program and fully close out their program participation before April 30, 2026. Applications and projects that cannot meet this timeline may not qualify for the 0% interest rate.

If you are considering applying, we encourage you to begin as soon as possible.

  • Stick construction, batt wall insulation
  • Single pane windows upgrade to Energy Star
  • No attic insulation upgrade to R-50 insulation and air sealing
  • Non programmable thermostat upgrade to smart thermostat
