The Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program (HER+), delivered in partnership with the Canada Greener Homes Grant and Enbridge Gas, has been an overwhelming success. This program has facilitated a reduction in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions for over 100,000 households in Ontario and saw a reduction of Green House Gasses by 26%. Given the high demand and the number of households that have participated, the program has successfully filled all available spots earlier than expected and has been halted indefinitely.

The Home Efficiency Rebate can help lower your energy costs and make your home more comfortable year-round. Get individual rebates for insulation, air sealing, new windows/doors, water heaters, boilers, furnaces and home energy assessments, up to $5,000.
Before you start any renovation work, you must complete a home energy assessment. A registered energy advisor will look at how your home uses energy and tell you which upgrades will help you save – and how they work together. If you complete at least two of the recommended upgrades, you’ll get money back.
Incentives are available for the following upgrades:
- High-Efficiency Furnace or Boiler
- Basement insulation
- Exterior wall insulation

The more you do, the more you save. Additional bonus incentives are available for doing more than 2 upgrades for deeper energy savings as part of the maximum $5,000 Enbridge Gas Incentives.
